the past 2 days, i have not been able to upload anything, import anything, and items I have already imported and uploaded are not showing inworld. just an empty space where the item is supposed to be? Also massive log in problems. Failure to generate log in response, then relog and already in the process of logging in? Please do NOT tell me to use firestorm. it does NOT work on my computer. i use phoenix, and singularity

Hi Karen,

Have you tried uninstalling Singularity and reinstalling it?

Have you tried using Imprudence?

Are you using the Kitely Plugin to login?

What type of network connection do you have?

Hi Karen,

The best way to move items over from other grids (based on other Kitely user recommendations) is to use Imprudence's content import/export functions: http://wiki.kokuaviewer.org/wiki/Imprud ... ent_Backup

You can configure which viewer the Kitely Plugin will launch in the Settings page of your Kitely account: http://www.kitely.com/settings

For additional information about supported viewers please see: http://www.kitely.com/startviewers

to answer your OP...

I am not having any issues with kitely at all.

I use the Astra viewer and login in at lowest draw.
I have win7
I login direct not using the plugin, and usually to the Plaza first then click the world I wish to go to from the website interface.
I use imp when I want to import something but OARs allow me to not do that much at all.
I use Angstrom on rare occasions.

But, to be sure, I do not bring in much of anything via import, just OARs...

I'm having problems importing xml files in Imprudence, which was working fine a few weeks ago (it hang after rezzing a few prims and stops). I've tried clearing cache and relogging, no joy. I'm also experiencing what I think are corrupted image files. Re-uploading them in the sim they're going to be used helped (Kitely Plaza) for the blurry images and I'll limit the number of items I'm putting in my shop there until I or someone else figures out if there's a problem other than an overloaded sim, texture-wise. Logging in at all in any viewer still takes a few tries - I know you are working on it. I boxed up all my gestures re the conversation at the last mentor's meeting, the only ones in my inventory are those from Open Sim Library, which I can't delete?
And that's the weather report for this morning.
:)

Hi Ada,

You can deactivate and then delete any gesture you want from your own inventory - the OpenSim Library is a shared inventory that doesn't effect your login experience.

To rule out possible effects relating to problems with the Kitely Plaza world, have you tried importing with Imprudence into an empty world such as http://www.kitely.com/virtual-world/Ila ... ts-Sandbox ?

Clearing the viewer cache unfortunately doesn't actually clear all the data that the viewer caches. Specifically, the inventory cache (which in your case may hold corrupted data) doesn't get cleared. You can manually delete all cached data from the viewer installation directory but it's usually easier to just uninstall the viewer and then reinstall it.

We plan to roll out the fix for the login problem in the next couple of days.

On this specific item, Linda once told me of a trick...if you get hangups on importing rezz a simple prim box...this seems to jump-start the import-)) ymmv

As to the weather....hot but nice around here...
