Fix montly price plan
I was wondering about the fixed monthly plans and how they work. Mainly because I love the idea of the 16 regions for $100 monthly. My question is if this is purchased do all 16 regions need to be one big land mass/world or can they be divided into smaller land masses/worlds? My ideal would probably be something like a 9 region 3x3 a 4 region 2x2 and then 3 singles. Which I guess translates into 5 separate land masses/worlds. This may have been answered elsewhere on the forum and I did try to look. Thanks for the help.

Re: Fix montly price plan
Hi Rebekah,
The explanation is found in our services page: http://www.kitely.com/services
The option for paying a fixed monthly cost to have a world provide unlimited free access to all visitors is priced on a per-world bases with different prices depending on the hosted world size.
The $100/month option is for a single 16-region world. A 9-region world costs $80/month, in the unlimited free access plan, while a 4-region world costs $60/month.
There is also the option of paying for worlds that are kept on time-based billing. When you chose that option you can divide the included free regions in any way you want between the supported world sizes but everyone visiting the world pays for the visit using Minutes from their personal monthly plan. This is similar to people paying for the time they use their mobile phone using the minutes that are include in their monthly phone plan.

Re: Fix montly price plan
And how do I change from the $40 a month to the $60 or $80 plan and is the region in the $40 plan then connected to the others?

Hi Christelle,
You can't change a world's size once it has been created and you can't place world adjacent to one another. What you can do is create a new bigger world and set it to Unlimited Free Access mode. If you want, you can then switch the smaller Free Access World back to time-based billing mode.
If you want the bigger world to include what is included in the smaller world then use the Export World function to save the smaller world to an OAR file then use the Replace World function in the bigger world to upload that OAR file into it.

Re: Fix montly price plan
I've read some of the other comments in setting up megaregions but have not seen this question addressed, but may have missed it.
Can you change the name of the region after it's created? Thanks for any insight.

Hi Jean,
Yes, you can rename a world any time you want and a new World Page URL will be created for the world (click the link in the My Worlds page if you renamed the world from inside that world's World Page).
The old World Page URL will also continue to work until you create a new world that uses the old world name.
