Not showing correct capacity for objects?
Hello! I just upgraded my world to a mega-world (yay!) but I'm confused about a couple of things in the "About Land" window.
The window says that the Region Capacity is now 37500 objects (1/4 of 150,000), and the yellow area border only surrounds the original area no matter which quarter I select.
Is this a glitch?

Re: Not showing correct capacity for objects?
Hi Variable,
First, please upgrade your viewer to Firestorm 6.6.17 (I see you're using an earlier version).
It sound like you parceled your world and are seeing the parcel's prim capacity. When you parcel land the parcel gets a prim capacity that is relative to its size. If that is not what you intended then I suggest you remove that parcel. See: https://community.secondlife.com/knowle ... arcel-r49/

Re: Not showing correct capacity for objects?
I will try the upgrade!
But I don't think I parceled anything...when I upgraded my world, I went from a 4x4 to the 8x8 and placed the original world in the bottom left. Do I just need to "join" the original section to the three new quarters?
(I'm a Second Life defector and very new to private region ownership so I'm still learning a lot of this stuff)

Yes, please upgrade your viewer then join the parcels (or reclaim it). If the land isn't set to a group then make sure you deactivate any active group you may have before you do so.

Re: Not showing correct capacity for objects?
Viewer upgraded.
Now it tells me that "You must select more than one parcel", but...I did stretch the selector across more than one.
And when I click on one of the new sections and select "About Land", the yellow border only appears around the original section. Everything else works as expected on the new sections (as far as I've seen). It's like it can't tell that these are parcels too.

Have you disabled the selection range limit in the viewer? See https://community.secondlife.com/forums ... he-object/

Well that's a cool thing that I didn't know I could do...!Ilan Tochner wrote: ↑Sat Jul 27, 2024 12:46 pmHave you disabled the selection range limit in the viewer? See https://community.secondlife.com/forums ... he-object/
But it didn't help in this case.
Here's what I'm seeing: In the first picture, I've clicked outside the original land, but you can see it's still selecting that area. The second shows how I'm trying to join them and the message I get.
Is there another setting I'm missing somewhere?

Re: Not showing correct capacity for objects?
Are you using the same avatar that owns the world? Does it have any active group set? (if you do it will be displayed above your avatar's head)
Please move your avatar to be inside the parcel and then use the Reclaim button to reclaim it.

Re: Not showing correct capacity for objects?
Same avatar, no groups.
N00b question: Where's the Reclaim button?
Google search tells me that it's in the Covenant section of About Land but I don't see it, no matter which parcel I'm on.

Does this dialog in that parcel show your avatar as the owner or a group? https://wiki.firestormviewer.org/fs_abo ... eneral_tab
