Perms for Script
Hi again,
I got a new script from someone in which the mod and copy boxes are checked, yet i get an insufficient perms msg when I try to open it. What am I missing?
Thanks in advance,
Eli Starfish

Hi Elijah,
Please be more specific. What is the name of the script and where is it located in your inventory?

Re: Perms for Script
Hey Eli,
From time to time i get also this message on my own scripts created by me, i think is a viewer issue (i use Firestorm-Beta 4.5.1.38838 it happend also in others viewers) but the error is in first or second try and after i close the script and reopen all is ok. If problem is still there and you still get that error try to logout and rejoin... i think all will be ok after this. Hope this will help Eli!

Re: Perms for Script
Thanks Cecil...still not opening
Hi Ilan...In my scripts folder titled "Sliding Door (no transfer)"
Mod and copy perms seem to be there. I right click on it and select open and get the message "Insufficient permissions to view script" msg.
I'm not real technical so I may be overlooking something.
Thanks for responses

Re: Perms for Script
How was this script transfered to you?
Did it arrive inside an object?
Was it uploaded from an OAR file?
Was it imported via a viewer?

Re: Perms for Script
I bought a structure from a merchant. The doors didn't slide. The fix was to place a different script in the door and modify a line.
I received the script from the merchant. It was sent to me thru IM I believe.
I deleted old door script and I placed new sliding door script in door.
Now can't seem to open the door script nor the one in my inventory.
It says I am the owner but not the creator. And mod and copy are checked.
Kind of a minor issue.
Thank you again.

One other thing. When I look at properties...all the options are greyed out although some are checked ....except the Group share button is white...or able to be chosen...but chosen or not is the same results. I have no group.

Re: Perms for Script
Please ask the merchant to update his or her product listing then use the Redeliver option in his or her store's Sales History to send you the updated version. Please let me know if this changed anything.

Re: Perms for Script
Hey Ilan,
I sent the script inworld to Elijah with the right permissions, This was not a Marketplace delivery. I double checked and all perms look good, Copy|Modify|No Trans. This can't be a Marketplace issue.

Hi Amiryu,
I understand that, I just want to see whether when you do (re)deliver the updated script via the marketplace it works as intended.
We switched the Offline IM implementation to use the one that comes with OpenSim 0.7.6 and it's possible there is some attachment bug with it. Checking if marketplace redelivery transfers the script with the proper permissions can help us pinpoint the problem.
