missing texture library

Post by mike mchugh »

My default texture folder will not load.

Any thoughts?

thx, I did all that and have been reducing the number of folders by combining them. This seems to be only affecting the default texture folder library

Hi Mike,

The first thing to try when encountering viewer issues is to open Firestorm > Viewer > Preferences > Network & Files > Directories and click both the Clear Cache and Clear Inventory Cache buttons. Then restart your viewer and log back into the Kitely Welcome Center. Wait until the world finishes rendering then open your inventory folder and check again.

Thx Graham, I read through and realized the common factor is that I just installed the latest FS version.
For me, it is only affecting the default texture library folder so maybe it is an FS bug.

HELLOOOO FS THERE IS A BUG IN YOUR LATEST BUILD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please fix it.

THX

Okay,
Thinking about this more. It has every indication that there is a map path problem. Like it does not know where the files are that go into the default OS texture folder. Or for some reason, that folder is now empty.

thoughts?

Nothing changed on our end Mike. Have you tried rolling back to using the previous Firestorm version?

I rolled back to 6.5.3 (65658) Mar 1 2022 and that does indeed have a functional OpenSim library. I was fortunate to still have this in my downloads folder given that I was unable to find a repository of old Win64 FS online.
