Problem deleting items from my inventory
I can't really call this a problem, since it is so minor, but it is distinctly odd. Last Friday I created a world with the really cool Mermaid OAR made for us by Minethere and friends (thanks, guys!) One of the great things it has is a rotating moon ride that circles the whole island so I grabbed a couple of copies to use on one of my own worlds. I started to notice that even after I had moved the copies to a subfolder in my Objects folder they still showed up loose in my inventory. I started to delete them but no matter what I do, they are still there every time I log in or relog to Kitely. This has not happened with any other objects in Kitely. I use the 4.2.2.29837 build of the open-sim Firestorm, if that has any relevance.

Hi Adagio,
That might be a viewer issue. Please try logging in with a different viewer and seeing whether deleting the problematic items that way makes a difference. You can change which viewer the Kitely Plugin starts in your account's Settings page: http://www.kitely.com/settings

I actually have several of those moon rides thruout the region with the rotation prim set at different lengths. This is a Linda Kellie item which i modified a bit...some i included a fog script, some fireflies I think, or fireworks scripts...and I added flexi to the little floating stars under it. I also stretched several of them.
I think the clear cache should help...not sure. I use imprudence so maybe that is an issue.
Lots of nice things in that OAR that can be used in many ways. Pull the scripts out, take apart items. Freely share in the spirit that we created it in-)) There is a nice visitor script in the freebie shack also-))
There is also quite a few transparent looped sound prims around. ctrl alt T to see those and other hidden things.
Many scripts are in stuffs and many items can be taken apart and used in different ways...have fun!!
I also accidently left some unfinished NPC boxes...lol..oh well-))
eta: I just shared your thank you with https://plus.google.com/b/1139049545838 ... 2234467612
That is the google+ community of opensim virtual if anyone wishes to join in-))

Nope, I relogged and cleared cache several times in both Imprudence and FIrestorm and my two little moon rides are still there. Ah, well, at least it is just the two.............

Hi Adagio,
What are those two item's UUIDs? What are they called and where are they in your inventory?

Re: Problem deleting items from my inventory
Well, they are two copies of the same thing, called "rotating moon ride" and they are just loose in my inventory, not in a folder. I guess I don't know how to get the UUIDs, except for textures and avatars. When I "copy keys" in edit I get huge strings of alphanumerics that I don't think is what you want.

Re: Problem deleting items from my inventory
Actually, you found the right thing
That string of characters has the format of 00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000 (rather than zeros, alphanumeric) right?
Those are the UUIDs/keys

Re: Problem deleting items from my inventory
hmmmmmmmm, well, these are identical objects but when I copied the keys from one I got:

and for the other:

Shouldn't they be the same? Why are there so many? Is it one for each prim and script in the object? I need to understand this stuff better.

Re: Problem deleting items from my inventory
Odd, I was going to double-check the behavior so I logged in to look at some UUIDs in my inventory, but for some reason, no matter what I right click on in my inventory the copy uuid option is disabled. I know it has worked in the past
