Here's a thread where Mac users might help each other when they experience problems that might (or might not) be Mac-related. For example, aiza commented in another thread:

aiza, what sort of Mac are you using? I'm using a MacBook Pro, over a couple of years old now, but it is still able to run the latest version of Firestorm. However, it's the sort that has a separate graphics card as well as the integrated Intel graphics.

Hiya Dot, thanks for starting this thread.

A quick note, I'm on Mavericks and one issue with the current Firestorm build, as of today, is an issue with the audio stream not playing. I noticed this in my Kitely world last night and verified in SL wanting to be sure it was the viewer and not my world setup.

This morning I did a clean install of the beta 4.5.1.38838 and the audio stream is working in SL. I still need to verify it does in Kitely.

Sigh, nothing like troubleshooting. My music stream works on our sim in SL but doesn't work on our Kitely world. Will need to see what's happening.

Ahh, I needed to add the audio stream url to the list. It's now working. Nothing like new viewer and world

Hi,
Basically my questions are as follows. I downloaded the firestorm beta to and created a Kitely account when I try to log in it says that my avatar could not be authenticated. Can anybody tell me what this issue is about?

I am familiar with second life but I just purchased a home and I want to build a replica of it and I don''t want to mess with going back into second life. I had read that this might be a good alternative. Any thoughts on this?

It will give you your login details, including the password you need to use to login via the viewer (it isn't the same one you use to access the Kitely website).
