Is there a good dependable TPV3 viewer on 64 bit (preferred) Linux yet? The ones I tried mumble something about a pipe not being in a happy state and crash.

Not having a good viewer for linux is one of the few things still keeping my main home desktop running OS X. That and the pretty eye candy that unfortunately makes my ADD worse than normal. So many temptations.

I use the Singularity 64bit version on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. I've had no reason to use Windows other than using Second Inventory. There may be other 64 bit offerings but a few months back when I switched to Singularity it was the only true 64bit version, and it solved various sound and streaming issues.

I don't however use the 'Kitely plugin'. I'm guessing it would not work but I'm not missing any of it's functionality as far as i'm aware.

Kitely Plugin just launches a viewer with a few command line parameters that help people login without entering grid and login details. Our plugin is only available in Windows and Mac OS X (it isn't available on Linux).

I used the latest Kokua viewer. It works well in 64 bits and is being actively developed. They say they will eventually implement the inventory import and export features of Imprudence.

Not 64bit, but Firestorm has a Linux version http://www.firestormviewer.org/downloads/

They do have a Windows 64bit version, so I take that as meaning that they will (eventually) release a Linux 64bit version at some point.

Yeah. I am trying it tonight and I am pretty amazed. It is really pretty stable. Only one or two hiccups. As a matter of fact it is more stable than either Singularity or Firestorm under OS X on the very same machine. Who knew? In particular that pesky fps I have mentioned of late? While it is less than under OSX it is rock solid and across regions which the OS X ones were not. And my busy 4x4 is about 2x better than under OS X. Wow.

Five hours using Singularity under linux yesterday and four more today including teleporting all over the place. I don't know why I ever thought I needed to keep a OS X box up for the sake of my virtual world wandering and activities. I clearly do not.
