Is any one else having problems trying to log in with out the kitely plugin?
I've uninstalled the plug in , uninstalled all version of firestorm and did a clean install of just the open sim version (Phoenix-FirestormOS-Beta-4-5-1-38838_SetupOS.exe) checked my firewall setting and ports, made sure I selected kitely as the grid, and still can't log in keep getting a message "could not authenticate your avatar, please check your username and password" Got the same message trying to log in with Imprudence and KoKua. I tried a few more times with all 3 viewers before reinstalling firestorm of SL. Beside logging in I need to find a way to use firestorm for both SL and kitely, I remember in the past I had trouble trying to use both with out the kitely plugin.

Re: can't log in with out the plug in
Hi Alexander,
We rolled out a new site update today. Please see: http://www.kitely.com/virtual-world-new ... -features/
As stated in our blog post, the Kitely Plugin has been discontinued as part of this site update because of upcoming changes in Chrome and Firefox that will block it from working.
To log into Kitely please follow these instructions: https://kitely.atlassian.net/wiki/displ ... ual+Worlds

Re: can't log in with out the plug in
I read both of those today before even trying to log in.
I was just in kitely a few days ago the only thing that's changes is that I'm not using the plugin now.
I'm using fires storm so shouldn't have to enter the grid info manually but have tried that too ,
all so tried adding @ kitely at the end of my user name where when logging in to SL I would see @ Second Life.
Checked my fire wall and even turned them off completely.
Would uninstalling the kitely plugin or reinstalling firestorm have changed which ports I have open?
ports are one thing I really have no clue about. dose kitely and sl use the same ports, I'm still able to log in to sl.
For the fire wall do I need to look for blocks or set exceptions of firestorm or kitely or both?
Would having cookies blocked have any thing to do with log in problems?
I've all so tried logging in from the viewer with and with out trying to start the viewer from the kitely website and then starting the viewer when prompted to.

Re: can't log in with out the plug in
Hi Alexander,
What operating system and version is your computer using?
Please uninstall Firestorm and install the version you download from here: http://www.kitely.com/file?type=viewer
Then open the viewer and select Kitely from where it says "Log into grid" (it will be predefined).
Please go to the Settings page and click the "Show viewer login details" link. Copy the password while making sure you don't copy any of the spaces around it. Then go to the viewer you have open and paste that into the password field. Finally copy the username that is shown in the Settings page into the username field in the viewer and press the login button.
Please let me know what happens when you do all these steps (please don't skip any).

Thanks Ilan
I was able to log in this time by copying my user name and password form the setting page, looks like my password had been reset.

Please note that, for security reasons, we store separate passwords for your Kitely website account and for your Kitely grid account. Changing one doesn't change the other.
