My suggestion for the term spiritual verses religious was because it's considered more inclusive where I come from. There is an increasing number of people, especially younger adults (in the US), who consider themselves spiritual, not religious. I also thought we were looking for broader definitions. That doesn't mean I'm right. Just explaining my view. Also, what difference does it make if it is based on an organization or individual response? Couldn't small spiritual structures, meant for individuals, be placed under private?Dot Macchi wrote:I tend to see Religious as based on organisations (hence the need for buildings), and Spiritual as more an individual response. But that might be a personal viewpoint.

Hi Marstol,
Can you please provide an example of a building that would be classified as Spiritual but couldn't be labeled as Religious as well?

Hi Dot,
Thank you for your categories suggestion.
Can you please enumerate the options you would have labeled as private? Watermills, Windmills, Outbuildings, Sheds, Barns, Greenhouses, Stables, and Rabbit hutches are a lot more specific than the categories you suggested for Public (Commercial, Educational, Entertainment, Industrial, Medical, Military, Religious, Utility/infrastructure, Other).
We're not currently planning a top-level attribute of Mesh vs. Prim-based so, unless this changes, you'll have to add "mesh" to the search field to focus on objects that have that in their description (if that is a factor in your selection process). If we see that this is a common search we may add Mesh/Prim Attribute in the future.

Sorry Ilan, but offhand I can't. I wasn't thinking in terms of something for myself. I was thinking that there are others who don't consider themselves religious, but do identify as spiritual and those who do not practice traditional religions. I'm sure people can find what they are looking for either way.

-- Residential structure (e.g. cottage, house, apartment building, mansion, castle -- these might also be sub-subcategories of Residential)
-- Utility/outbuilding (e.g. watermill, windmill, shed, barn, greenhouse, stable, car garage -- these are examples only)
-- Landscape structures (I see these as mainly decorative structures, e.g. gazebo, folly, tower -- again, examples only, but they could also be categorised as "outbuilding")
-- Other

Thank you JeanBaptiste,
Assuming there was no Spiritual category would you look for a Native American sweat lodge in the Religious category? If not, given the aforementioned categories, where would you look for it?
