I would also be very interested in the ability to add and use a bespoke library.

Re: Photography/machinima contest (cash prizes)
Great news about extending the deadline. The Metaverse Tour visited Rezmela on Saturday and had a great time creating chaos and bedlam. We created floods and fires mostly. I'm pretty sure we drowned the nice family that lives in the big house. We also crashed a couple of firetrucks. It was great fun.
I can see how this would be a powerful tool for serious training of professionals before they get out into the field. Better to make mistakes when you aren't in danger of actually killing people, right? What you have created with this tool can obviously be used in dozens of ways...training, education, role playing, interactive storytelling, and much much more. Great work. I look forward to hearing about how and when it will be available.

Re: Photography/machinima contest (cash prizes)
Only 10 more days to go until the end of the month.
If you're wondering how to work with the NPCs, here's what I've found out so far by experimenting. Clicking an NPC's head brings up a dialog box with several buttons: Follow, Stop, Stand, Select, Unselect, Remove.
To make the NPC sit on a chair, click on Select, then on the chair; then click Unselect.
To make the NPC follow you, click Follow; Stop makes them stop following.
In this way you can build up scenes that include people. Some of the items will even animate the NPCs automatically.
========
Edited to add: I should have read the manual -- or in this case watched the video! This is from the RezMela website, "Use cases" tab, "Use case II: Deeply interactive scenarios with accelerated NPC behaviors".

Video: Eat and Grow, Exercise and Lose Weight -- it also shows how to use the NPC controls.RezMela website wrote:...In this particular example, we create an environment where NPCs are fed certain foods and see their impact on their bodies and their mobility. We also show the NPCs losing weight after exercising...

Re: Photography/machinima contest (cash prizes)
Thanks for sharing these tips Dots. The other one I would add is that if you bring fire fighter NPCs in, clicking on the hose nozzles will trigger water jets.
I am thinking of developing an online manual where all such information will be more easily accessible.
The fire pumper truck, the ambulance, and the police cars are drivable.
There is a well furnished hospital room in one floor of the hospital (not the big one), the single floor one ...
You can connect road blocks with various types of standard tapes (by clicking one block then the other) ...
And remember there are many pose balls in the 'park' object, the one with trees and butterflies and so on, if you sit on the colored balls you will be doing different kinds of exercises.

Re: Photography/machinima contest (cash prizes)
I played with the pens, paper, and people yesterday - created a forest fire. The people actually fall down coughing because of the smoke! Great fun. The fire fighters kept running around spraying everything but the fire... lol. I had several people following me out of it and they ganged up on me because I wasn't running fast enough. This crowed was panicked! Very time consuming figuring out how to make a video so I don't know that I'll make one.
I also hope this program will be available for us to put our own things in it. A great tool!
