You did that all in OpenSim? Really nice rendering and animation. Love the dancing chessboard pieces. Very cool!

Thank you Serene:)
Yes, it is all made in OpenSim, no additional effects in editing. It is all scripted, lighted, textured, animated and everything inworld:)

Thank you very much for all your comments and sharing at social media:)
There is a repeating question about animated chess pieces and other objects.
First, it is a lot of work:)
I used Ferd's script from Outworldz, but it did not work perfectly in all cases. Anyway, if you need to do something like animated chess pieces, and have absolutely no idea about scripting, try it.
Simple animations could be done easily with llTargetOmega or llSet(Link)PrimitiveParams(Fast) and all these variations. If you have some ideas what you are doing:)
It is no magic, it is just a scripting.
And a lot of work, again:)

I made a 360 degree video in OpenSim. I suppose it is first 360° video made in Opensim (and Second Life).
It is far away from perfect, not even complete 360°, unsightly watermarked, but it is proof of possibility.
Actually, it is not hard to do it at all:)

Modern browser with 360°video support is needed (Chrome, Vivaldi,...) Switch to 4K for highest quality.
Better version will follow soon:)

Serene, thank you:)
The process is actually very similar like RL process for 360 degree video. Rig with several cameras is needed. Camera inworld is not a camera, so rig with several "views" in same point is needed. Everything can be done with existing scripts.
I have 3 different ways how to do this part inworld:) I used the one, which was my favorite for previous videos, but I can describe the other ones either.

Rest of the work is usual painstaking editing of video in video editor (Blender in my case), multiplied by amount of cameras. Four in this sample, 6 or 8 in the future.

That's it, nothing complicated;)

I guess I need to add it to my forthcoming Ultimate guide of making video for free in virtual worlds for very beginners ?:)
