Second multi-grid OpenSim treasure hunt

Post by Dot Matrix »

The second multi-grid OpenSim treasure hunt starts on Friday 15 April 2016, so it's time to start adding your Kitely Worlds if you would like to take part.

In the last hunt, Kitely had the highest number of participating regions of any grid, more than 25 if I remember correctly.

Maria has written an introductory article here: Multi-grid treasure hunt starts April 15. Note the pretty impressive RL prizes!

The main hunt site is here: OpenSim Treasure Hunt.

I've set up a hunt kit stand on Relto (HG address: grid.kitely.com:8002:Relto), so do drop by and pick up a copy for your own worlds.

I'll add my World, Pacific Northwest, in the treasure hunt. I just finished my item. :) I even found the place to hide it and the hint to help you.

I've also set up the Treasure Hunt Stand if you want to get the kit for installing an item in your world.

Seanchai has our first one online too! yay!

(I'd place Treasure Stand, but... a) probably not necessary to have another one and b)I don't know how to get it out of the .iar )

Seanchai would be a good place for a Treasure Hunt Stand, given all the events that happen there.

You can get a treasure hunt stand kit from Hyperica (hg.hyperica.com:8022), or simply take a copy of the kit box on Relto.

IARs won't directly work in Kitely. What you'd have to do is set it up via Sim-on-a-Stick, save it as an OAR, then import it into Kitely.

So picking up the kit inworld or via the hypergrid is definitely easier.

As you may have seen from Oz's post, the Hunt has started.

At the moment, 12 Kitely worlds are participating. If you would like to add your own world to the hunt, you can do at any time. Pick up a hunt kit from any of these locations on Kitely.

Good luck!

My world is nowhere near ready for a hunt but I'll participate as a hunter. Of course, that means I need to remember how to hop to other grids. This is what happens when you go AWOL for a while. (Because we are definitely NOT blaming it on aging.)

Hunters are hunting. Two dropped by from OSgrid this evening as we were playing spades in Relto. We had a nice chat.

Kitely is now the grid with the highest number of participating regions/worlds: 22 -- see OpenSim Treasure Hunt: Grids Involved. (Shandon has been busy!)

It's not too late to add your own world(s) to the hunt.

There are just under 10 days left to complete the hunt. Currently there are 120 participating regions/worlds, of which 23 are on Kitely grid.

The time to beat is currently just over 5 days.

Keep your eye on the scoreboard at http://tanglegrid.net/treasure-hunters/score.php.

If you are taking part in the hunt, click your avie name to see if you need to visit extra regions that have come on stream at a later stage (this happened in the previous hunt).
