Questions for veterans of the Kitely Market

Hiya!

So, I have been buying templates to work with in making products for the Market. I have bought all I was able to from the Market to help support this grid. Today I see 4 or so of the template sets I bought (skins) are showing as Unknown Product when I click on them in purchase history. The creator is also unknown now.

Is this likely due to a DMCA? I am out 15 bucks if so. I ask because now I am questioning if I should use the templates. I don't want to list my variations and end up with a DMCA. I am a strong believer in supporting creators and want nothing to do with skin sets if they are shown to be ripped. There is not an explanation on the page, just a Unknown Product screen,

Most likely not, but I'd need to know the Kitely Market order IDs of the orders you're referring to in order to answer that question definitively. Please send the product order pages to me in a private forums message (you can open them from your Purchase History page).

Just FYI for anyone reading. Ilan checked the items out and they were not DMCA'd. So it looks like I can use them.

One thing I love about Kitely is the strong stance against ripped content that Ilan and Oren take. I hear about it in the hypergrid as well, Kitely has a good reputation for acting on situations fast and fair.

is why i am here (as well)
if i may give some advice (having had same-sortoff same, experienc,as u ,before. in other grids : creators vanish) :

- before buying any templates of skins,cloths,mesh etc :
- read their tos (if u are ok with it fine, if they ask all y info send it asap before any purchaise) & ask if they agree if u take it to kitely (or other)
- keep that document of tos & ims etc
- if there is no tos : ask for lisence & keep that document (also on your pc for safety)
- never 'just buy' fp with 'no rules' cos it can give problems - not all pple have good intentions or are reliable sadly,
(for exemple, i had to pay several thousands LL in sl for a lisence & creator vanished... another i had lisence & permission appeared to be a copybotter etc etc...)
we need to protect ourselves & our customers, and iknow u do that as well high five for being a nice honest person
