An Interactive Tarot Table
Scriptic Meg is an interactive tarot reading table designed for thoughtful, ritual-like readings rather than instant random card draws. The cards are physically present on the table and are chosen by hand, allowing the reader or querent to engage with the process in a deliberate and meaningful way.
The table supports structured spreads, upright and reversed cards, optional significators, and detailed card meanings drawn from a configurable deck. Everything about the reading is controlled by the layout of the table and the notecards contained within it.
The Scriptic Meg controller is within the table slab, which can of course be customised or hidden as you like.
• Physical card selection with 78 face down chooser cards, allowing querents to choose intuitively rather than relying on a random generator.
• Supports layouts of any size using a simple POSITIONS notecard, allowing creators to design their own spreads or recreate their favourites. Setup by default for the classic Celtic Cross and Waite meanings.
• Optional significator handling, with the choice to use no significator, ask Meg to draw one, choose directly from the table, or name a specific card in chat.
• Readings unfold card by card with visual cues, glow effects, and revealed card faces, creating a clear and theatrical reading flow.
• Meanings are driven entirely by a MEANINGS notecard, making the system fully editable and customisable without touching the script.
• Supports upright and reversed meanings, with automatic handling of card orientation.
• Read for yourself or soomeone else.
• Includes automatic session timeout and reset to prevent the table becoming stuck if a reading is abandoned.
• Owner controls for access permissions, including owner only, group use, or public access.
• Optional pay to play support with simple pricing options or free readings.
• Built to be mod friendly, allowing creators to rearrange cards, reskin the table, and adapt layouts while keeping the core logic intact.
• Works entirely in world with no external dependencies, menus kept deliberately minimal to preserve atmosphere and flow.
• Ideal for fortune tellers, roleplay environments, magical builds, events, or anyone who wants a tactile, theatrical tarot experience.
