Similar story for me, just I'm part of a pack of nerrrrds. Where before we sank money into SL just to have a parcel, we now put every cent into creating avatars and funny things for OpenSimulator. When you visit the Kitely Starter Avatar World, look around until you find the nonhuman avatars. We're responsible for the Sharky sharks and many others.

I am Lokiande, current escapee from SL by the same name. Here cause recent events have made me realize SecondLife has always been the 4chan of the internet. I do not mind rude people- but bigotry and predatory behavior [esp towards the vulnerable] are lines I will not cross. As the SecondLife grid and it's userbase are content to let such people run wild- so I am content to leave that grid behind.

Queer, in my 30's, and a hobby artist that's tried a few things. My current fixation are fiber arts such as spinning, weaving, knitting and crochet- and digital art via 3d models and 2d images. I have a few custom models I would love to see ingame, and even a wip rideable mount- but no idea where to start, as the revelations about the SL grid killed any drive I had.

In the meantime I'd love to learn about how grid exploration works here, creating things for use in OpenSim, photography spots and scripting!

I'm getting started on Kitely because I want more freedom for my building projects and to test out some of the possibilities of the Market. I'm not yet an expert at complicated scripts (that's my big weak point, lol), but I love working on texturing and the atmosphere of regions. Since I travel quite a bit for work, I'm trying to find ways to stay connected to the grid even when I'm away from my computer. I look forward to chatting with you and visiting your worlds!
