I am currently experiencing a disconcerting problem with the attached HUD I have created for the Literacy Project. It is duplicating itself on the Hinatore sim where the project is being developed. I have taken the HUD off and moved to my home sim and attached it there and it shows fine as a singular HUD. On teleporting back to Hinatore with it attached it again shows as duplicated.
The duplication can be selected in Edit mode and attributes changed, e.g., transparency, rotation. Selecting the duplicate does not select the original. The Detach function is not highlighted though. When the original HUD is detached the duplicate detaches.
A quick fix please if at all possible. This is bringing the development to a halt and deadlines are looming.
Regards
Aaron

Re: Attachment Duplication Problem
Ok very bizarre; sorry for the panic but deadlines can do funny things to one. It has fixed itself.
Some possibilities. I was starting up Photoshop as I logged in. I have noticed some small hiccups when running opensim/SL and Photoshop previously. I did try relogging to Hinatore with Photoshop still open and nothing changed re the duplicates. The fix (maybe). I closed Photoshop then relogged. All's good.
Something to think about there.

Aaron

Re: Attachment Duplication Problem
Is it possible that Photoshop is using so much of your system memory that the viewer doesn't have enough memory to handle HUD functionality properly?
That's the most obvious probability that could explain this sort of thing.
I use Paint Shop Pro for editing graphics and occasionally if I've been editing too many large files it takes a reboot to stabilize my machine. Graphics
software packages are generally memory intensive.

Re: Attachment Duplication Problem
Possibly Deuce though I constantly have both opensim and Photoshop open during development and haven't come across this before. I also have a reso grunty dev machine. Still... things happen so will keep an eye out *smiles
