I am also building a medieval world - I and my alt builder would love to have some fields of wheat. Wheat and lavender. That would be lovely!
Hey Ghelen

I cant help you with the lavender sadly, but I do have some barley fields. The texture is from a while back and not as crispy and nice as my current work.

I have a whole medieval farming series on the way, I was planning to look more at crops then. I have plans for things like, pumpkin, tomatoes, potatoes, carrots etc. I must admit I never thought of lavender.

I will re-work the texture at some point when I am doing the farm sets them up for sale, but until then you can pick up a a free copy (with the old textures) at my workshop. :)

So long as your having fun while your going broke, I don't feel too guilty ;)

No more big releases now for this month. Just some ground plants and an expansion pack for the Tudor house kit.

This evening, I have had somewhat of a tree-related revelation. A very exciting one!

I have always HATED the way trees behave in SL/OS, with the alpha messiness and the weird shadows at certain angles. My new maple trees still suffer somewhat from the effect and it bugs the hell out of me! I have been trying for ages to find a way to get rid of that effect and this evening, I think I may have finally had my eureka moment!

I don't want to spill the beans too much and look like a prat when it does not work, so I wont elaborate further. The reason I relate this is it effects my release schedule. I will still get out the Tudor expansion (because I promised Dot :) ) but the shrubs and the modular dungeon rooms I planned for February are going on the back burner while I explore this new technique.

It seems the dungeon rooms are forever doomed to be neglected. I think I started on them last January.

Today saw the last of my tree releases for a while......

Elm Trees

Fir Trees

Cedar Trees

Shrubs

As always, the packs contain summer and autumn variations. The Fir Trees come with a snow covered version.

I have some Mountain Ash and Oaks in the works, but I am not happy with them at present and they are frustrating the heck out of me so I have decided to move on.

Those of you who visited my previous region will know I have a lot of stuff that focuses on medieval towns and settlements that I put to one side, and that is what I will be releasing over the next few weeks. It has been sitting gathering dust for a while, I just need to polish it up, box it up and get it all out there. I might even get my dungeon kit finished. Who knows.....

As I mentioned in my last post, I am currently working on the more medieval roleplay side of things now. Lots of stuff is backlog stuff, but some things I need to make fresh, and one of those things is signage.....

and yes, I know the word "tavern" needs to be bigger :). Right now I am just sketching out ideas. I want to make a set with simple symbols, and one with interesting names. So I am opening the floor to suggestions. They can be silly, serious, fantasy, whatever.

Ideas for taverns, butchers, bakers, tailors, smiths, general stores and anything else that springs to your mind is welcome!

If your idea makes it, you get the sign free of charge!
