Hello,
I am Ramesh. I use Kitely to support our educational applications. I am interested in avatar centric virtual learning environments, where learning happens mostly by doing, alone or in teams. You can learn more about our efforts at http://www.rezmela.com
Hope to participate more fully in the community soon.
Sending my best wishes to everyone.
Ramesh :D

Howdy,
Sam here :) I just created an account this evening and trying out the waters. I was in SL back in 2006, went to Open Life then to Avatar Connection. I now have 2 sims on my own server on OSgrid and thought I would try out Kitely too. Hope to meet some of you nice people!
Cheers! :)

Welcome to Kitely Sam! :)
Now with hypergrid traveling and selling from the market enabled, OpenSim has great opportunities to grow into one big community. Jumping from Kitely to osGrid an vice versa is just a click ...:-)

Welcome Sam-))

I, too, had an account in Avatar Connection but it went down soon thereafter so I really was not able to experience it. I had gone there due to a couple of friends asking me to.

Have fun-))

Relatively new to OpenSim in general, although looked at it off and on over the last six-seven years. Been in Second Life since 2007, but pretty much an observer now. Kitely is my primary location now, and used Zadaroo's OARs (and Linda Kellie's that are located there) to set up, so well on my way. Still trying to see how to upload IARs and make mesh avies work, but not a real issue (yet).

Welcome Nic-))

you can't do IARs in Kitely, or any commercial type grid [afaik], at least at this time.

OARs however, as it appears you have found, you can do here, and also save them back to your computer as you make changes.

Enjoy the more freedom, and I do hope you get with the ppl here who are exploring the Meta via hypergating also.
