I'm wondering whether it might be better just to go to one Kitely world and one HG world each tour. There's a lot to take in at each destination, and this would give us more time to enjoy each place.
So many worlds... so little time...

Good point, Dot. I hate to feel like I'm rushing folks through but I'm also eager to share all the great destinations. In only an hour! Let's try 1 Kitely and one HG world and then end in a portal with hypergates for folks that want to continue exploring. Suggestions for destinations on Kitely and HG are always welcome!

By the way, I'm going to try joining up in a few minutes with the folks Miney mentioned earlier in this thread. It's a 3 hour tour, I think!

The tour was great. At least the small part I was on. The tour was led by Thirza Ember (who has a facebook page about it.) We met on OS grid at Ilha Magica. After introductions we went to Francogrid region called Avatar. There were at least 10 avatars standing around chatting in our area and even more elsewhere on the region. Despite the load, the grid was amazing stable. Most of the people there were french, but the translators did a good job which I was very thankful for as my french is rusty to say the least. The people were very friendly. We were able to get a copy of the (creative commons-licensed) avatars from the Fest' Avi from a nearby wall. You can see the avatars here.
http://the-hyperzette.blogspot.com/2014 ... 14-at.html They are gorgeous. I'm so looking forward to unpacking them and trying them on. The whole place is very beautiful and the visit was inspiring. Someday I would love to be able to make avatars like those.
After Francogrid/Avatar we went to OSgrid/Dutch Mountain for some shopping. I left to join the Kitely meeting.
I had a great time, met new people, got a half dozen fabulous avatars. What's not to love about that? Thanks for mentioning the tour earlier in this thread, Miney, or I never would have known about it!

I am so happy you enjoyed it-))
I am about to post this thread over to Avia Bonne [Dutch Mountains] who mentioned the tour also. Maybe she will comment here as she is a Kitely member.
Here is the thread on g+

I would love to see the two groups collaborate and add more people, though it does increase the likelihood that people will break up due to various HG issues across the Meta.

Yesterday's Metaverse tour had a ship theme! First we went to the Kitely world called "Journey." The scope of this ship is breathtaking. There is a lounge or a bar behind every corner. The attention to detail and texturing is spectacular. There are so many levels it is easy to get lost. In fact this would make a great location for a murder mystery quest or a hunt. (hint hint) It's really beautiful.
Next we went to the welcome area of the Craft World which has posterboards linking to many fascinating looking regions. (craft-world.org:8002) We went to "Noah" on craft-world which is a ship full of FREE animals. That's right, you can go there and pick up an elephant or a dog or a horse or a hippo. It is an amazing place. I encourage everyone to visit it at least once.
Daniel took some pics which he has up at
https://www.facebook.com/daniel.hoffman.5205 And Pixel Pretty took pity on me and hooked me up with a new skin because I was looking a little angry and I am in fact a very happy person!
Join us next week for the Metaverse Tour at noon on Thursday.

There is another cool ship in Craft but unfortunately I cannot drag it from my remaining memory cells, atm, if at all.
But it is a region sized Cruise ship, perhaps it can be found @ their welcome region you went to.
Also, may I suggest you all might go see this one sometime. You can see me inside the coffee cup, if you look reeeaaallll hard...

I visited the hypergrid today following your links, I forgot how jarring region crossing was.
