I know this doesn't apply to you Minethere - you are a free agent - but I borrow your thread to keep updating about the Greeter HUD.

Dennis says that he had success scripting the Greeter HUD to report data to a google spreadsheet. Now the ball is in my court to design a HUD interface that works well with the scripting. We should be able to debut a prototype on Saturday.

well, yea, I just started this thread as there seemed a need to do it and nobody else did for a couple of days.

It isn't *my* thread, per se, and I would love to see others add their own stuffs to it that are related, of course.

I tend to think I comment to much and really am only trying in my own small way to generate activity by others.

I really should get outside more and enjoy the last few days of low humidity where I live before it gets unbearable for 4 months or so...sighsss

ok, @ the Plaza for today, for a while...

Moco Scribe came in wearing a fashionable ensemble by Linda Kellie and I showed her to yet more fashions by Linda and gave her some items I have...

She seemed to want to find the rest out on her own so i logged out...

time for self-imposed greeter duty-)) and I am in the Plaza for a while.

I am fortunate in that I put my viewer on a 43" TV/monitor and can do other stuff on my laptop.

If I lose my TV tho, that will be a problem due to failing eyesight....wish me luck this will not happen-)))

Marion Mill dropped in again and Savino and I answered questions.

Dennis completed the scripting on Friday but I was late in getting him the design ideas. Below are features that I hope Dennis can manage to add to the HUD.

Noobs start here in the Plaza:


The Draft HUD may look like this:


The sensor Dennis designed will send a message to all of the active Greeter HUDs. Greeters do not have to be in the Plaza to receive the message. Greeters can be in any Kitely World wearing the HUD and get the message. The message displays the name of any new resident (that is under 7 days old) that enters the Plaza.



Once a name appears above the HUD, the Greeter can use the buttons to respond.

GROUP CHAT: When they click this button the Volunteer group chat window opens. The Greeter can tell the other greeters that they will greet this person.

GREET: Finds the profile of the new resident so the Greeter can open a chat window with them.

TELEPORT: Shows a confirm box. Once the Greeter confirms, they will be teleported to the Kitely Plaza.
