hey folks, just a quick note to let you know I will be closing the in-world store for maybe a few weeks. I have been coming to the slow realization that I have left nowhere near enough space for my medieval stuff and so a complete rethink is in order.
I will leave the store online for the next few days just in case someone wants to stop by and look at something, but then it will be gone for a while.

lol, well I didn't run out of space per se. I want to build a large medieval town to showcase my roleplay stuff and maybe even to grow into a small community over time. I realized those two things don't have to be mutually exclusive if I organize myself a little better.
In the end I would like to have my "store" or at least a place where people can view things in a categorized and labelled manner up in the sky somewhere, with the ground level used as more of a community space.
So I need a castle, a church or chapel of some kind I guess, plenty of buildings, some outlying farmland........and thats just for the first sim.
I dont have space for
that.

Somedays I feel like I am spamming this part of the forums you know

. Where are the other merchants posting?
Well, my store is closed now, but anyone who joins the Worlds End Customer Support Group can still get access. I would welcome people dropping in from time to time to give me feedback, suggestions or whatever.
The plan is to turn the ground level from a showroom into a medium sized residential medieval town complete with its own castle. The idea is if I can find 12 residents willing to pay between 1-2$ per month for a home, I will expand to the next "tier" level and add surrounding villages and wild areas. As the community grows, so can the surrounding lands. The town will be build to have a maximum population of 50.
Not much to show right now. The cave complex and mountain from the previous build survived. I have been making some prototype houses which I think are close to done now. Eventually in this sim I want to have a wealthy residential and commercial area, a slightly more run down slum part of town and some farmlands with cottages. Come the time to expand, I would maybe add two small farming hamlets, but leave the rest as wildlands for adventuring in.

Well, I am sure everyone here knows the exciting news by now
http://ozwellwayfarer.blogspot.de/2014/ ... -over.html
But the more relevant news regarding Worlds End for the Kitely community is that the "store" is now open again. Even though I still have quite a bit to do before even the architectire is done, I have been having a few requests and questions so figured its best to just re-open.
As some of you might know, I am trying to run my region more as a roleplay and residential area than a store. Houses start at 300KC a month for a small cottage, to around 900KC for a manor house. Early adopters will get bonuses such as a stipend of game coin relative to your rent payments, first call on owning in-game businesses and a bunch of other stuff I am still working through. Pay 6 months rent or more in advance and get a free set of basic C/M furnishings including a bed, table, chairs, shelves and chests free!
The roleplay aspects of the sim are non-existent right now, partly because of time and partly because I want what happens to be decided by the community. My dream is of a very open,
inclusive, friendly and welcoming network of people and sim owners who share a basic set of cannon and rules that allow for maximum creativity, social interaction and fun.
You can read more about that on my world page

A couple of days ago I received the not so great news that I will have to move countries again or potentially lose my job……... I don't want to move, so it looks like the latter. This means I really wont have much time for anything community focused for the next few months, as I need to focus on completing as many half finished products as possible.
However in “solidarity” with the April hunt team, I will be placing a few hidden free items around my store tonight. I will post again when that is ready.
If there are any community issues or projects where people think I can be of direct help, I will of course do what I can. I anticipate less inworld time and I just cant take an active role in anything much for now until I am a bit clearer about what is going to happen over the next 6-12 months.

Well, I liked it, but I think it is a like and unlike, sorta.
I hope things work out well for you and sorry for stepping on your commercial thread to say so.
