And she's NOT gone...
... to Inworldz. http://iliveisl.com/2014-changes-for-us/
Edited to remove snarky comment in attempt to stay moderately classy.
Update: Hax Nuit is staying, as is Ener.

Does this mean Ener is leaving Kitely?

Re: And she's gone...
She's still in my friend's list so I guess she hasn't 100% left yet. Hackers Sleepless City is still live for the moment even though Ener Hax.com Freebies has gone (plus the others). She says on the blog that she's gone freemium but I'm not sure she appreciates how that's going to change going forward*.
PS: Reading her blog more carefully, it's clear that she doesn't anticipate keeping any regions so I guess she's not majorly affected by the changes by moving to the free account.

Re: And she's gone...
I dont understand this Graham, Kitely's change of plans was supposed to make it even cheaper for residents to have a world or am I misunderstanding. If so, why should Ener leave us? Especially now we are on the doorstep of enabling hypergrid.

Re: And she's gone...
I really can't speak for ener but there's every indication from her blog of a gradual change of focus.
And yes, no hypergrid, no record in education, opensim fork so no contribution back to the core developers...
I can't speak to Kitely's plans for about-to-be-announced unmetered worlds but I fully appreciate that they have to change to accommodate the hypergrid.
As a minor aside, I'm surprised she thinks she can make previously CC-licensed content available exclusively on Inworldz when copies are in my inventory. That's not how it works.

Re: And she's gone...
I am inclined to agree with Graham about the change of focus. Eners prior post reveals more of the thinking behind this decision.

it seems that even though Kitely is offering great deals, the bulk of the work can be done on SOAS offline and they cannot justify the extra overhead.

Re: And she's gone...
Yet another correction -- I think the festive season has addled my brain
Ener's content is going to InWorldz in some unspecified fashion -- there's no indication she is.

Re: And she's gone...
Grids, inwz very much included, give regions and much efforts to certain ppl they think will give the grid more stature...I know this for a fact.
Uploading OARs is just another thing they will do.
It is a dog eat dog situation with certain favored ones getting special treatment...
I think Ener has made a mistake, and I think she will see this eventually....sad thing to me.

Re: And she's gone...
I was wondering about that as well. I have a lot of her freebies in my inventory and a few even rezzed in world. I'd have to check if they are full perms freebies or not, tho.Graham Mills wrote: As a minor aside, I'm surprised she thinks she can make previously CC-licensed content available exclusively on Inworldz when copies are in my inventory. Re: And she's gone...
RE "exclusively" ... I am guessing that she just meant that she wouldn't personally be making them available on the website anymore, and that they would officially only be available from Inworldz.
