I would like to use Google Chrome for managing my account, but a week or so ago I could no longer access my account via Facebook. I switched to Firefox and can access my account that way. I have cleared all history including cookes and site data. I have restarted Chrome a number of times. I always get the message "Kitely encountered a problem accessing Facebook. Please try refreshing this page in a few minutes." Refreshing the page does not fix it.

I am at a loss on what to do next. Does anyone have a suggestion?

Hi Alexina,

Do you have Avast or any other antivirus that has a browser add-on installed? Some of them have a feature to block sites from using Facebook integration. You'll need to disable that feature in order to be able to login to Kitely using Facebook.

Thank you, Ilan. I will check what I recently added to extensions to my Mac OS version of Chrome. My anti-virus preferences haven't been changed.

Mea culpa. I recently installed a Disconnect Facebook extension in Google Chrome to prevent Facebook from following my browsing. Forgot about that. Now disabled and Kitely login with chrome works.

The lesson here, good folks, is to NEVER EVER EVER NEVER try to disable Facebook from following you!!!!
