Dear reader,

I wanted to buy an animation override and noticed that on some products I could only pay with PayPal.
This made me wonder about privacy.
When I pay with PayPal my real name will be visible to the merchant?
(if this question is answered with "No, they can't" then never mind the following text).

but...

If so then all merchants that do so will find out about real names of avatars.
This is a real concern for me.

In the case of the product I wanted to buy there is only one person selling them.
Meaning if I not want to make use of the PayPal only method I cannot purchase that item and with it will walk around with the basic animation override.

Why are not all products also purchasable with KC?
And what is Kitely's policy on this?
And who check/controls if merchants are genuine when it comes to private information?

Hi Bold,

Kitely acts as a mediator when you buy from Kitely Market using PayPal so that both the merchant and the buyer only ever get Kitely's PayPal account information instead of that of each other.

Merchants can choose not to accept KC because KC can only be used inside Kitely (including to pay Kitely for its own services) and can't be converted back or sold for real money.
