Coopersville Town Centre

Post by Elspeth Sorrelwood »

Now that The Avenue, Coopersville, has welcomed its residents, it's time to turn attention to updating the town centre (formerly Downtown Coopersville) with all its shops and activities.

There is a new group for merchants to join: Coopersville Shops. If you currently have a shop, please accept the invitation to join the group. If the invitation has gone missing, please contact me (Elspeth Sorrelwood) and I'll send it out again.

The guidelines for shop rentals are very similar to the earlier ones, focused on ensuring an enjoyable and immersive experience for visitors and neighbours, and keeping lag at bay.

Coopersville Shop Guidelines

IMPORTANT
• Each shop has a maximum allowance of 400 prims*.
• Keep textures 512x512 or lower and item LODs under 2000.
• Maturity ratings of items should be General (preferred) or Moderate – see https://kitely.atlassian.net/wiki/space ... Guidelines

What you CAN do:
• Sell items that could have been real and used before 1920, or steampunk.
• Create your own shop sign as long it's older than the 1920s in appearance (sign graphic: 800x600).
• Use full bright on things that would normally be lit, such as signs and lamps.
• Share your shop space with a friend providing you stay within the prim limits (200 per shop).

Please DON’T…
• Don’t use hovertext.
• Don't use particle emitters.
• Don't have full bright on items that are normally not lit.
• Don't have sounds coming from your shop that can be heard in nearby stores.
• Don’t have objects emitting light that leaks into neighbouring shops

* Note: The original prim allowance was 200 prims, the same as Koshari originally set. However, a few of the current shops are well over this allowance, so to be realistic I've increased it to a maximum of 400 prims. The optimum would be to be BELOW this allowance, preferably closer to 200 if at all possible.
