Modeling a bottle for Kitely Market, using the Aldebaran perfume as a reference

Hello, just a quick update on an ongoing project because it took me down a rather unexpected path. About three weeks ago, a client who runs a virtual luxury boutique on Kitely Market asked me to model a high-end perfume bottle for his storefront. In Blender, the hardest part about this kind of object is never the overall shape—it’s really rendering the glass and capturing how light catches on the cap. The photos I found online give a general idea, but they often distort the reflections or show only a single angle, so I was a bit stuck when it came to the exact proportions and the finish of the cap. I ended up ordering samples of Aldebaran Perfume, just so I could have a real bottle right in front of me instead of guessing based on compressed images. Honestly. They arrived within a week, which gave me time to take photos under different lighting conditions before resuming the modeling. Honestly, having the object in hand makes all the difference—you can immediately see where the glass thickens, how the cap catches the light depending on the angle, details you completely miss in a standard product photo. I’m currently reworking the PBR materials so they render well once uploaded to Kitely, with the correct roughness and transmission values for the glass. Have any of you ever run into this kind of glass/metal rendering issue for objects intended for the marketplace?
