I have read posts in these forums about OARs and I have read http://opensimulator.org/wiki/OpenSim_Archives. I get confused at the very first step in the process. I see two consoles that have the world, region, in their names, but neither of them allows me to type anything. I have tried both Firestorm and Cool Viewers.
Can someone please just tell me how to save a world as an OAR file?

If you are on Kitely then this is achieved on the web site in the "Manage World" files tab. Click the "Export World" button and follow the instructions provided.Freda Frostbite wrote:Can someone please just tell me how to save a world as an OAR file?
If you are running your own opensim instance on your computer then use the console window and type something like:
save oar c:\mystuff\myworld.oar
