Free Region?

Post by Samarah Nightfire »

I just joined up with Kitely. When I went to create my world..it isnt free. I have to click on Pay Pal and pay for it. I dont really understand how this works I guess..do you have to purchase a package before you get the free world?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you!

Hi Samarah,

The Regular Account includes a single-region Metered World for free which will remain available for access indefinitely. You also get 6 free hours in-world to try out your Metered World. You don't need to give us your billing information to get this free trial period.

To learn more about our offering please see: http://www.kitely.com/services

OK I went again and tried to Create New World..I am still getting the pop up that wants me to go to Pay Pal:
Create world: Hallows

Pay now: $36.63 (Why?)

Monthly payments (starting Jul 1, 2014): $49.95 (Why?)

Is there another way to create a world?
If not..no worries. I will just look around. :)
Thank you! :)

When you create a new world make sure to select "Metered World" as the world type. It's at the top of the New World dialog.

Another way to get to the right option is for your avie to use the kiosk nearest the Portal in the Kitely Welcome Center.

Click the panel for the type of world you want (Starter, Standard, Advanced or Metered), and the Create World web page opens up with the relevant world type selected.

Don't be sorry! I've been using Kitely for a long time and I still get confused. That's because Kitely offers lots of options and thinks outside the box (yes I know I'm dating myself). They also change in response to user requests. The good thing is that there is great support and lots of people willing to help. Most of us have been there at one time or other. :)

Thanks for the help and support! I am not opposed of paying $$ for land at all..just wanted to check things here out first. Does this grid allow you to set up land using your own server like OSgrid does?? I have figured out how to do that just recently! Pretty cool! :)
Thanks again and have a great week!

Sam, you can't run your own simulators instances here but with their pricing and stability and innovations, I always suggest it is a very good option.
