searching inworld

Ive noticed i can find people with the search but no places or classified. I decided thats how opensim worked,but then i went to other places on opensim and found search works in those places,well a few of them. Whats with that? To me being the simple kind of gal,its kind of a pain to get around. Is it just me because im not used to it yet? I cant even find groups to ask questions inworld.Will i have to always go to the website to find anything? Is it something being worked on or is this the way it will always be?

There is a group called The U. Please join that. It is listed in my profile. I set it up to help folks who have questions like yours. Feel free to post to it or to post to me directly. As for search, use the "explore worlds" page.

I agree it would be nice if search worked, but I have not gotten it to work anywhere other than SL and Inworldz which are both closed grids. Where did you get it to work for you?

I am so a newbie and this is taking getting used to. It does actually work when a go to craftworld,i can search for, say "freebies" and landmarks pop up.thats where i go the most and there was another one but i dont remember that one.I will look for that group you mentioned and thanks
