Resizing of world is not available for Legacy Worlds?
I tried to resize my Legacy 1-Region World , there is a "This is a Legacy 1-Region World, so its maximum size is 1 region. You will need to upgrade the world type in order to make the world bigger than that." error.
Is this intended?

Hi Zuza,
You have a Legacy 1-Region World, which has always been limited to being a single-region world. Changing its world size will therefore require changing its world type to one which allows bigger worlds. Please note that our fixed-price world options will be updated to more competitive ones on June 1 (2015), so making this world type change won't necessarily increase your monthly expenses.

Another possibility (which will keep your options completely open after 1 June) is to sign up for a Premium Account which includes 10 Premium regions that can be configured in various world sizes.
Changing to a Premium Account halfway through the month costs about 10 USD.
Then you could create a clone of the current legacy world as a new, separate Premium World and enlarge that copy. You can restrict access to it if you are concerned about visitor costs.
Alternatively you could estimate visitor costs from the Account History page -- 1 KC per minute per non-Premium visitor. From my own experience with Premium worlds, visitor costs work out at about 2 USD per month in KCs. If your own calculations show visitor costs are less than the Legacy region cost, it might be worth changing the Legacy region to a Premium World and enlarging that one.
On the first of June, costs would be $19.95 for the Premium Account plus the cost of the Legacy region (unless you have changed it to a Premium World). But then you will be able to judge what the best option will be from the new fixed-price worlds and whether the Premium Account is worth keeping or not.

Re: Resizing of world is not available for Legacy Worlds?
Ok, the "Legacy worlds" are not in any documentation, so it is really very hard to know, what I can or cannot do, especially when that resize function is enabled at world page.
You announced possibility of changing the region size for fixed price worlds, ok, this is not the type or world I have, I know it now. So please be so kind and recommend me the type of world, I would like to have in Kitely.
- I need a world which is accessible for everybody, no matter which type of account or membership or anything-you-will-create-in-future the person has. Including hypergrided users.
- I am ok with the price I have now, can change for Premium during May, but only if it brings what I need.
- No problem to pay fixed price. I expect fixed price means I will not pay for visitors extra, if there will be this option in future.
- Expecting same performace as I have, 100K prims per this world.
- I would like to change the size of world as is possible now with other-worlds-than-I-have
- The name of world, webpage address and hypergrid address will not change after I will make the change. This one is very important.
I have really read the documentation and Services at web, but I did not find the answers.
I guess only possibility just now is Advanced world, but still do not know about name changing, and I am not willing pay this price, especially because it still keeps me as "inferior" user with no possibility to visit premium worlds.
I understand there is no possibility to know the future price plans and I am not asking about them. It is just not much comfy for me, when I cannot find the proper informations by myself, and only way to finding is unsuccesful trying things or asking the questions.

Dot, thank you very much for your explanation.
I have to admit, only to read it once makes me desperate:) I will find some time later and will read it again to understand it;)

Re: Resizing of world is not available for Legacy Worlds?
Premium Worlds are allowed 100 prims max, 100 avatars max, and have the same amount of server resources as current Regular Worlds. They can be set to allow everyone to visit.
You should be able to change your existing Legacy world to a Premium World and keep the current world name, webpage address and hypergrid address.
And you get to visit everyone else's Premium-only worlds
Edit: If your legacy world is one of the $40 single-region worlds, I'd recommend switching to the Premium deal. The $20 difference gives the equivalent of 20 x 300 = 6000 non-Premium visitor minutes inworld per month, or 100 hours!
So whatever happens after 1 June, your costs are likely to be less.

Re: Resizing of world is not available for Legacy Worlds?
Hi Zuza,
I can't give you a complete picture of your future options without discussing the future fixed-price world options and that is not something we'll be doing until we announce them on June 1. I'm therefore left with discussing the current options that you have which may not be as attractive as the ones you'll have next month.
You have a legacy world type that we no longer offer, which means you have combination of features and price that is no longer available. If you want to retain the 100 avatar capacity and 100K prim limit for this world then your current options are either:
A) Keep the world type you have now and wait for the upcoming fixed-price world options to be announced to enable you to determine which world type will suit you better.
B) Get a Premium Account or Gold Plan and switch your world to being a Premium World.
c) Switch your world to be an Advanced World.
Options B and C will both let you maintain your world's current avatar and prim capacity. With a Premium World you'll need to pay a variable cost for non-Premium Account visitors to your world and with an Advanced World you'll pay a fixed price but a lot more than what your current legacy world costs you.
Regardless, when you change your world's type your world will retain its name, world page URL, and Hypergrid address. These will only change if you rename your world or create a new one to replace it (in which case, after you delete the old world you can rename your new one to have the same name which will give it the same world page URL and Hypergrid address that your world has now).
If you're fine with paying extra for non-Premium Account visitors to your world then I'd recommend getting a Premium Account or Gold Plan now before you lose that option. However, don't use option C assuming you'll be able to later get the exact same feature set of an Advanced World for less with the upcoming fixed-price world options. Only choose option C if you're willing to pay that price or willing to later change to a much cheaper option that contains a different feature set to the one currently offered by the Advanced World type.
In any case, your safest bet (assuming option C isn't for you and you're willing to pay for a Premium Account or Gold Plan to keep your options open) is to do A and B: get a Premium Account or Gold Plan while you still can and keep your existing legacy world type until you have the complete picture. Then, after we announce the new offering on June 1, cancel and/or change whichever option you don't want to keep. Please note that if you go for A+B and next month choose to change your world type to one of the upcoming world type options then the money you've already paid for your world that month will be taken into consideration when we calculate the prorated cost of upgrading your world's type (note that the price of a Premium Account of Gold Plan will not, however, be taken into consideration as changing your world type doesn't replace your account type and we only pro-rate changes to the same line item).

Key points from Ilan's post for those with legacy worlds:

I thought Premium Worlds got less server resource? That 100 prim limit is harsh...
