Hey everyone,
I’m kinda struggling with something scheduling-related lately and I feel like I can’t be the only one dealing with this mess…
So basically, I’ve been organizing more and more creative sessions and a few events on my side, mostly in a virtual space (Kitely for those who know it), and I use a dedicated Google Calendar just for that to keep things organized and separate.
The problem is that my work and personal life are all managed in a totally different Google Calendar account, and obviously the two don’t sync at all. So yeah… I keep running into conflicts, double bookings, or moments where I think I’m free but actually I’m not, or the other way around. It’s getting a bit chaotic and honestly kinda stressful at this point.
So I was wondering if anyone here already found a solid way to automatically sync two Google Calendars together? Not necessarily merging everything or exposing all the details of my virtual events to coworkers, but just having the blocked time slots from my Kitely calendar show up as “busy” on my work calendar so people can’t book over it.
I’ve seen a few tools and setups mentioned here and there, but I’m not really sure what’s actually reliable or easy to maintain long-term without breaking or needing constant fixes.
While digging around, I also came across solutions like syncthemcalendars, but I’d really like to know if anyone here has actually used something like that in real day-to-day life, not just in theory or quick tests.
Anyway, if you’ve got a simple way to keep two calendars in sync without exposing everything or overcomplicating things, I’d really appreciate your thoughts
