Hi all
I am having an issue with the Market, when trying to put items in the Market.
For an item I had the following error:
Missing default legacy material: e9c16a9a-cb16-b4d1-8af8-fc11d91a9667
I made a quick script to see what was this texture and I get a grey face, so clearly the uuid is not associated to a texture
So, after reading an old thread (and finding nothing useful) as well as https://www.kitely.com/virtual-world-ne ... -products/ , I just made a quick script to find out the uuid of the textures used in the mesh I have created (and that works perfectly when rezzed in word)
The result is as follow:

So, the missing uuid is not an uuid of associated to the object itself, while the uuid absolutely coincide with the ones of the original textures:

Texture inserted in an object, and I made a script that was reading name and uuid of the textures inside the object.
So, this seems to be a bug in the system, but does not read correctly the object and its characteristics while porting it into the Market
A little edit:
The same object redelivered with the debug method showed the following, using the same script used before:

So definitely there is something to review in the porting to the market

Re: Missing default legacy material but the uuid is not present
Not that one, another one that google suggested.
I have read it now, but I an not sure how it would apply in this case also because most of the gyazo are not available anymore.
I am not using white faces (if I have understood what was meant with that) but fully original diffuse and specular textures, sometime editing tint and color

Re: Missing default legacy material but the uuid is not present
First, I'd suggest clearing your viewer cache and viewer inventory cache (in Preferences) then restarting your viewer and using the Deliver debug version option in your product listing's edit page to get a modified version of your item with the relevant textures highlighted (as explained in https://www.kitely.com/virtual-world-ne ... -products/. Then, with your cleared caches, rezz both your unmodified copy and the debug version side by side to see which textures are highlighted.
The material UUID may also be referenced by the object's PBR or Blinn-Phong settings (inside the Texture tab). You need to find the one relating to a highlighted texture in the debug version where it wasn't set by you after you uploaded the mesh and then remove it. This missing texture will be displayed as something other than a black X on a gray background.
(If you give me a link to the deactivated listing I can look at the specific error you're getting to help you figure it out)

Re: Missing default legacy material but the uuid is not present
I had used a clean installation of the viewer, since I had just reset the computer I used to do it.
I have anyway cleaned the lot.
No result
I had also already read the link you linked (as said in the first post)
I was eventually able to upload what I needed, but
case 1: put it down, duplicated, took it back on, and worked, no change done
case 2: added a tint that was not white, for one worked, for another no
case 3: changed a specular, added it from the inventory, not uploading a new one
Clearly there is something not working as the failures are way too random to be ascribed to an error in the importing of the textures, also considering (cfr my first post) that the failing texture is a not existing one

Re: Missing default legacy material but the uuid is not present
Please note that applying changes to items while they are inside your inventory can cause issues, for example due to the slam bit that LL invented. So, make sure you only modify rezzed items and only then take them into your inventory.
The system isn't broken, it detects references to UUIDs that are missing from the listing. The problem is that those UUIDs may appear in parts of the item that are not easily visible. Another common issue is people using a dynamic texture in their build and those get modified whenever the texture updates, which breaks references.
