Recent Lag and "Snap-Back" ?
For the past 3 days, in-world I've been experiencing much lag in-world. It's making it quite difficult to build--as I build, I'm experiencing "snap-back" and all my detailed work get's ruined. I tried clearing my cache and re-logging, but this doesn't help. Dundridge checked and says he is also having similar lag not only on my world, but on his too.
Is anyone else experiencing issues? Has something changed a few days ago that may be affecting me? Is there a solution?

Hi Sierra,
Have you changed or upgraded the viewer you use with Kitely?

I'm logged into the Plaza now, and finding it very stop go. Snap back would not be a bad description for what is happening to my avatar now.
I was in my world and then the Plaza for about 20 minutes all OK before this.
Using Firestorm 4.4.0.33720.

Then I gave up, closed Firestorm, and logged back in with Angstrom.
Very slow getting started, but all seemed OK then, a quick visit to my world, and back to the Plaza.
Fine until a couple of minutes ago, when my avatar froze, screen blanked, and I had an error message about my nvidia card, shortly followed by a message that angstrom had stopped communicating.
Can't say whether these are personal problems or the same one, thought I'd let you know though.

I use Astra in Kitely....I never have any issues and it also allows minimum draw to be set to 24
It does not appear it is being updated anymore tho, so I may have to switch eventually.

Re: Recent Lag and "Snap-Back" ?
The best thing to do when you encounter lag is to open the statistics window in your viewer and check what exactly is lagging: the server, the network and/or the viewer. The simulator running Kitely Plaza is very rarely at high CPU load so it's most likely you'll find that your viewer is simply having a hard time cooping with the high number of unoptimized assets in the Kitely Plaza.

I do seem to need to update my viewer (Phoenix Firestorm). I touch bases here once I've accomplished that. Thanks everyone!

Well, I tried much the same things today as yesterday, half an hour whizzing around in the Plaza, no problem at all.
