Re: Using Stored Inventory
hmmm...I could swear I saw another post from Nikita here when my eyes were closing last night?
I was going to continue the conversation....was it some flashback to my drug induced state of mind of yore? dunno...

Re: Using Stored Inventory
ah, good then-)) I often wonder about myself in such things...lol
In any case, I think you referred to the recent sl tos thing...and I was only going to say I know of it but not being an sl creator it does not affect me [I haven't even logged into sl in some months so I guess the agreement to it will be waiting for that day]
I hope you enjoy Kitely and what they offer...be well-))

Re: Using Stored Inventory
I find the sim-on-a-stick not really suitable for what i need to do, that being making up all my displays and the contents of those displays.
I started yesterday, did about 10 displays, got everything packaged for each display.
Then i have to go back and wear everything in each display,i'm doing complete avatars at the moment and it involves wearing everything, clothes ,skin, shape ,hair etc doing this has to go fairly fast as i am wearing then unwearing items for the next display.
last night i was smoke and could'nt see anything i was wearing, so i waited for today, i was smoke when i logged in still and it did'nt change, so i wore another outfit complete in one shot, that always worked in SL before SSB (server side baking) .
So i started to wear all the items in the displays, first one went ok, but i could nt take the shoes off, then my eyes were white and upper body was white.
So with the huge amount of items i will have to wear and take off and re wear the next, i think i will wait for the Kitely update in a couple of weeks.
I don't think sim on a stick was designed for the type of things i need to do.

Hi nikita,
To solve cloud issues try the procedure listed at the bottom of this page: http://metaverse4me.wordpress.com/2012/ ... -be-fixed/

Re: Using Stored Inventory
Hi Ilan,thanks for the link
That tip for replacing the outfit to fix the smoke is what i used, its a trick we used in sl before SSB.
Whether or not the things like shoes not coming off or skin turning white is a viewer problem i'm not sure,i could try another viewer,i use singularity, which is a mesh viewer.

Re: Using Stored Inventory
Hi Ilan
I used imprudence and it is much better, pretty much trouble free, except one thing i noticed and i have no idea if this would be corrected when using the OAR to upload to Kitely.
In everything the owner/creator is listed as Simona Stick, that is the name the sim on a stick says to log in with.

Re: Using Stored Inventory
nikita, you can change the name of your avatar in SOAS to be "nikita Jeffereson". Instructions are here: http://iliveisl.com/forget-simona-stick ... -for-soas/nikita Jefferson wrote:Hi Ilan

That way at least the name would correspond to yours. The uuid for that name might still be different from yours though, I think anyway. Ilan would have to let us know for sure.

Re: Using Stored Inventory
Thanks Sherrie,i followed those instructions and changed the name to mine so now i can log into the viewer with my own name.
Talk about being asleep, i just noticed everything in inventory i had uploaded with stored inventory has Simona Stick listed as the owner/creator.
I think i will have to redo all i have done so i am the owner/creator
I noticed there is more instructions on that page re creator and owner name in edit, i ll look into that later and let you know
Even though i can log in with my own name if i rez a cube Simona Stick is still the creator but maybe once i restart SOAS it all might update, at least if i rez a cube i will be the creator, i will let you know
