Re: Using Stored Inventory

Hi Ilan
Almost there, remade those shoes and the scripts that we saw were the invisi prims ( not sure of the spelling) used to hide the foot going through the shoe,i had forgot about those.
Those i had picked up somewhere and i was not the creator .
They are full perm so i changed the name inside the script to mine and made new scripts in my name, it shows me as the creator.
Now they upload to MP, it shows the shoes with the name and the object symbol but below it says
New script 2 times under the left show and 3 new scripts under the right shoe
It shows like this

Adorable Fashions right shoe **Z ----------------------------------------- M
New Script ------------------------------------------------------------------- T
New Script ------------------------------------------------------------------- T

Adorable Fashions left shoe **Z ------------------------------------------- M
New Script ------------------------------------------------------------------- T
New Script -------------------------------------------------------------------- T
New Script -------------------------------------------------------------------- T

The shoes have copy/mod permissions
As far as i know the invisi prim should be ok
Unless i need an invisi prim from here, that is from SL so don't know if opensim scripts run differently

Rather than using invisi prims to hide feet, could you perhaps try a clothing alpha layer?

Hi Dot
I'm not very familiar with clothing alpha layers, the invisi prims are prims shaped a certain way to curve around the inside arch of the shoe, and of course the invisi script is what makes the protruding part of the foot invisible,
Can those alpha layers be shaped like a prim?, if so they would work.
As i said i''m not familiar with the clothing alpha layers, i suppose if they can be applied to the prims they would work.

The alpha layers are a bit like skins. You apply them to your avatar, and they make bits of your avatar invisible. They work a lot better than invisi prims.

It's worth experimenting with the alpha layers to see how they work. You might be pleasantly surprised with the results. :)

In case it helps, here is a tutorial on how to make your own alpha layers: http://sasypants.com/2011/08/25/alpha-tutorial/

Hi nikita,

Kitely Market is indeed different from SL Marketplace and it takes time for people to understand how to best list items using variations, attributes, and the different category tree we use.

We'll be making video tutorials that will explain how to list products and manage your marketplace store.

In the meantime, I'd be happy to meet you inworld and guide you through the creation of one complete product listing so you can see that it isn't as difficult as it currently seems.

Please don't give up nikita,

What seems difficult now will get much easier if you hang in a bit longer. Things are much more difficult for me when I'm frustrated. If I put it away for a few hours or a day and come back at it, it is always easier. When you get stuck, come here and post. There are lots of people who are very happy to help. We've all been there and can share what has worked. Dot has probably transferred more stuff into Kitely than most and is a very good resource. Take Ilan up and the offer to walk you through the market listing process. It seems intimidating at first, but once you use it a bit, I think you'll find it's actually much easier than the SL market. :)

I changed my previous post, i couldn't see a delete.oops just saw it, but going back to that one i don't see delete, anyway it's changed
I have to re size all my skin pics for MP and learn about the alpha for my shoes so i'l take a break and get that done then have another go.
I have learned a lot since my first post, MP is just another i have to learn.
MP by itself is easy it just the variation thing i have to learn for my skins
