A required asset does not exist

Ok, this one is weird..
Trying to add a variation to the market, and on trying to add the item it tells me that a required asset does not exist. It gives me a UUID as part of the error I've checked all the textures against the UUID in question (d049fa4b-8cea-329b-2588-6aa662cd598e) and they seem to exist in inventory. It gives the same error against all objects in the series.

I also tried re-adding an object that was previously added properly, and got the same error.. Interestingly enough, the previous two objects in the series(other variations) fail to deliver, presumably the same issue from the other end.

Nothing particularly unusual about the item.. just a simple one, and it looks fine in world http://www.kitely.com/market/product/20 ... ar=2099469

..though other items are working just not this one. I'll probably recreate the object when I have time

I checked the product and the existing variations also reference Texture ID d049fa4b-8cea-329b-2588-6aa662cd598e, which is missing. As you suspected, that's why they fail to deliver. Do you remember if you had succeeded in delivering these variations in the past? We've made some changes to tighten up error checking, so perhaps that caused a change.

You said that you verified that the textures exist in your inventory, but I'm not sure what you mean by that. When an object references a texture, the texture is stored in the assets server; it doesn't matter whether it's also in your inventory or not. Do you mean that you have in your inventory a texture with ID d049fa4b-8cea-329b-2588-6aa662cd598e?

Please do recreate the object (at least one variation), but don't overwrite the existing variations yet (Red and Black), so that I can compare them with the new (working) variation. Thanks!

Ah, it IS a texture, fascinating

I checked each face by manually clicking to find the texture in inventory. At the time, I couldn't find any that weren't in inventory, though it sounds like I must have missed a hidden face.

I also had a quick look at some of the objects texture UUIDs via script to see if any were missing

I did not find any texture with the offending UUID, though I did find that some default blank ones had crept in there from somewhere. I'll assume I must have missed a prim or face somewhere. Will try a complete retexture first before the rebuild.

I had a similar problem with a simple object that had only 3 textures! I checked the UUID of each texture, they did not match the invalid one I got from the marketplace. What could be the problem?
Well, I figured it out: One of the prims was a cone, which is a cylinder with the top pinched down to zero. But that infinitely small top still had the UUID of an invalid texture. I had to open the cone back into a cylinder, replace the texture on the top, then squeeze it back into a cone. Now the marketplace accepts my build.
