Cookie is a well-known sim in SL. In Kitely, I have set up a megaregion, called Cookie II, which hosts similar objectives. Here is my blog post about it:

Cookie II has no time charges, so people can have no-cost meetings there. There will be meeting places. No arrangements are needed at this time. The places is open to the public. So for now, just come and have a free meeting, It is a 2x2, so there is lots of space. Whether you can rez there is TBD
Anyone interested in theater, videography, machinima, writing, or other communication arts is welcome to have a presence there. That could be a poster, notecard giver, or LM giver. Just send it to me, Selby Evans.

Re: Cookie II on Kitely
Wasn't the original SL Cookie the home of that comedy club? I forget the avatar's name. But I remember attending a couple of shows there a few years ago. The avatar looks like a sexy woman, but the voice coming out sounds like a burly New York trucker. Those shows could be a real hoot.
Actually I used to edit and publish an online humor magazine back in the day. It was called Random Access Humor and started in 1992 on FidoNet Bulletin Board systems back before the web became a big deal. In 1996 I taught myself HTML and started a web version: Random Access Humor 96 at http://www.rah96.com. There is still a version of it online at http://www.randomaccesshumor.com. This one hasn't been updated in years and in fact I just realized that the whole Reviews section seems to be missing from the server. I hope to get that fixed soon.
In any event I had been planning to have a small office somewhere in the commercial district of my Donnybrook Beach world here in Kitely that said it was the offices of Random Access Humor (RAH) and hang a "Gone Fishing" sign on the door. But as I wrote this message it occurred to me that I might want to look into re-starting RAH as a virtual world humor magazine, or at least humor blog. That's something I will think about in the new year.
I'm in favor of anything that supports writing and creativity. So I wish you luck with your new Cookie II world here in Kitely.
