My avatar occasionally completely invisible

On rare occasion (maybe once a week) when I log in my avatar is totally invisible to me. It's not a matter of slowly rezzing, some parts being there and other parts not. It is a non-avatar. Vapor avatar. Void avatar. An un-avatar. (Wait, I a dwagon. I do have power of invisibility! That must be it.)

If I replace it with another avatar, the second avatar shows up. But if I revert to the original avatar... it's still invisible. I've tried editing appearance; no soap.

If I relog entirely, the avatar always shows up the second time, as if nothing was ever amiss.

Does anyone know how to fix this without the necessity of relogging? Or is relogging the only solution? Thanks.

Bumping this to see if we get any replies. Others have noticed this issue as well. If anyone has information, would be much appreciated. : )
