Connecting for builds on the go: is eSIM feasible?

Hi everyone
A quick technical question for those who connect to Kitely when they're not at home. I'd like to be able to check my regions or do a little work on the Market when I'm traveling, but hotel Wi-Fi is often terrible for OpenSim. I've looked at some esim discount codes on comparison sites to find a good data plan. Do any of you use this type of virtual chip to share your connection with your laptop? I'm a little worried that the ping will be too high or that the connection won't be stable enough for 3D creation or in-world scripting.
