I think it is best to show distinction rather than seeming too much like SL.
I agree and I also think the word "tier" should not be used for rent for the same reason.

one area that hasnt been mentioned is ugly neighbouring builds, ads and banlines.

"Avoid ugly neighbourhoods with your own private 64,000 m island with 100k prims"
pic of ugly build, ban lines etc beside a pic of a nice island
"set-up in 5 minutes from 0 to 40 usd per month"

also maybe the logo/slogan/www address could be combined into one image with smaller text and repeated in each ad in eg bottom right corner to tie all the ads together
leaving the "call to action" wording more noticeable

Another smaller point is maybe one ad could feature close-ups of good looking / customised avs as a common misconception is that all OS avs are fugly.

"choose who you want to be"
"fully stocked online marketplace"

and related
"free starter pack - private island - 1000s of free virtual goods"

I like this one, the 0 to 40 one.....and i will model for unfugly if wanted, needed, or desired [assuming any of those apply....lol]

I just upgraded my avie a bit more, she is soooooo fine!!! [almost as fine as I am in rl...uh, huh?]

Thanks, all, for the comments and feedback.

Let's see if we can start to draw up a shortlist for the text elements; then we can move on to working on the layout and graphics in a separate thread.

I suggest choosing the adverts so that they each lead to a single, particular plan; this will enable each follow-up landing page to be focused and helpful. By the way, some of the ideas in this thread might be more easily brought out on the landing page -- the ad space is VERY limited.

Here's a possible starter shortlist. Tweaks, comments and alternatives welcome!
  • Your home from home
Get your own private island with 100,000 prims -- free setup and trial period
(Free plan; covers the "holiday home" idea)
  • Buy one, get one free
Get TWO 100k prim regions for just $5 a month
    (Bronze plan)
  • Another day, another world
Get ten regions for $20 a month
    (Silver plan)
  • Tackle that big project without the big budget
    $35 a month for 20 regions
    (Gold plan)
  • Expand your horizons
    Get a 4-region world with 100,000 prims for $60 a month
(This would be aimed at builders and might cover Stio's ugly neighbourhood idea)
  • Spread your wings
    Get a 9-region world with 100,000 prims for $80 a month
    (e.g. Flying/sailing without sim crossings)
  • Extend your realm
    Rule over a 16-region world for $100 a month
    (This one is for role-players)

I'm just looking at the opening line here, the headline...

The first one on the list should read:
Your home away from home

Repeating myself, but this one is very powerful...
Buy one, get one free

Tackle that big project without the big budget
Might be there is no way to improve this one but I was trying to do it in fewer words...
Big project without a big budget
Big project, Small budget? adding that question mark makes it better

Expand your horizons, Spread your wings, Extend your realm
...all are perfect as is

Thanks, Minethere and Danko, for comments.

Thanks, Danko, for the amendment to the first tagline. We'll stick to US English.

Big project without a big budget
Big project, Small budget? adding that question mark makes it better
If the tagline of this one is changed, the second line should perhaps be amended so that there is a call to action:
Big project, Small budget?
Get 20 regions for $35 a month

I'm not sure that is an improvement over the original:
Tackle that big project without the big budget
$35 a month for 20 regions

But what do others think?

Thanks, Stio -- "Big Project? Small Budget?", with the added capital letters and question mark, is a nicely balanced phrase.

I'm not so sure about using "Big Idea" -- I can imagine someone saying "What's the big idea?" in a sarcastic way.
